When
you are away from home for work or pleasure -- for the day or for
several weeks -- The
Placid Pet can
ensure that your animals are properly cared for.
The
Placid Pet
offers pet sitting in the comfort of your home. Your pet
sitter will:
- Play/walk/visit
with your pet(s)
- Replace
water and food
- Dispense
medications
- Clean
litter box, cage or terrarium
- Pick-up
and dispose of dog waste
- Turn
on/off lights
- Adjust
drapes
- Collect
mail and newspaper
- Water plants
Based on information
obtained about your pets and their typical routine (see How To Get Started),
we will create a detailed checklist. A draft of the
checklist,
along with an estimate of service costs, will be e-mailed to you for
your approval prior to the commencement of service. After a
visit is complete, a copy of the checklist (noting arrival
and
departure time) is left in your home, and notes are posted on our
on-line system for your review anytime, anywhere in the world. |

Overnight
Service / House Sitting
- Your
pet sitter stays overnight
with your pet(s) in your home.
- Overnight
service is essentially three-visits-in-one:
- Dinner-Time Care:
This visit typically starts between 4 and 6 PM.
Visit length is determined by the needs of your pets at
dinner time.
- Overnight Care:
If your pet sitter cannot stay at your home starting with the
dinner visit (in other words, he/she needs to leave for a few hours and
then return later in the evening), then the pet sitter will be back no
later than 9 PM to spend the rest of the night in your home with your
pets.
- Morning Care:
AM care typically starts when the pets wake-up (or when they wake up
your pet sitter!), and ends when the pet sitter leaves for the day.
- Mid-day
visits may be added, for an additional fee. A 15-minute visit
is commonly paired with overnight pet sitting service.

Please
Note: Most professional pet care providers who offer
overnight pet sitting service charge a fee that is similar to The
Placid Pet's fee, but they do NOT include the dinner-time
visit as part of overnight care. The Placid Pet is one of few
pet sitting organizations in the country (and frankly, may be unique!)
to include the dinner time visit as part of overnight care.
