tell you…the girls were so kicked back when we got home on
Sunday...not anxious at all. Just happy, happy girls! The notes were
great…much appreciated. Thank you so much!"

If you have never hired a professional pet care provider before, or if you are considering meeting with The Placid Pet to see if we would be a good fit for your pet care needs, the following information will be helpful to you. Step 1: Review the Web Site Review the information available from www.placidpets.com. The About page will tell you all about our company and our staff. The Testimonials page will give you some first-hand (direct-quote) feedback from clients. Make sure you are comfortable with the services as they are described (Pet Sitting, Dog Walking, Pet Taxi) as well as our fee schedule (Rates), and related Web pages including Key Program. Step 2: Contact The Placid Pet Contact The Placid Pet via phone (360-223-3825), e-mail (info@placidpets.com), or by logging into ProfessionalPetSitter.com and completing the "Request for Information" form. You will be asked a few brief questions that may include: 1) What kind of pets do you have? 2) What dates do you need pet care service, or on what days of the week would you like regular dog walks to be provided? 3) What area of town do you live in? (Having this information will help us match you with a pet sitter.) 4) Will your pets need overnight care? (Can they stay by themselves in your home overnight, or are there circumstances that make it necessary to hire an overnight pet sitter?) 5) If you are ready to schedule a Meet-And-Greet, what days/times are you available? (Please allow for as much time as possible -- ideally 1 to 2 weeks -- prior to the start of pet care.) Please note: As of September 1, 2007, the fee for the Meet-And-Greet is set at $20 for 30-minutes. If you decide to schedule The Placid Pet for pet care service, then the appropriate fee will be included on your first invoice. If you decide not to hire The Placid Pet, you will still be billed for time dedicated to the Meet-And-Greet.Step 3: New Client Questionnaire The Placid Pet will e-mail you a copy of the New Client Questionnaire. Please complete the questionnaire and send it back as soon as possible (preferably at least 48 hours prior to the Meet-And-Greet). Step 4: The Meet-And-Greet It is important that both you and your pet(s) are comfortable with your new pet care provider, and vice versa. The
Meet-And-Greet
must take place in your home. If all parties -- you, your pets, and the
pet care provider -- are comfortable with one another, then this
meeting should also include:
A draft copy of the checklist, a detailed client information report, along with a cost estimate for scheduled pet care services, will be sent via e-mail for your review. While you are away from home, you can log into your on-line account and check to see if visits were completed, and review notes from your pet care provider. When you return home, your copy of the completed checklist (signed by your pet sitter) will be waiting for your review. The completed checklist will show exactly when the pet sitter arrived and departed and what services were provided during each visit. The Placid Pet routinely spends 60+ minutes of office time (above and beyond time spent in preparation for the Meet-And-Greet and during the Meet-And-Greet) inputting client data and developing each client's checklist. Additional time is also routinely spent updating checklists for the majority of our clients who are repeat customers. |
